Christ Lutheran Church
The Lamp of the Body

Christ Lutheran Church is a congregation of believers called to make disciples for Christ and to help one another live and grow in the Christian faith and life to the glory of God.

To this end, empowered by the Holy Spirit, we shall faithfully employ His Word and Sacraments in our worship, provide Christian Education, witness to the Gospel in word and deed, and minister to the spiritual, social, and physical needs of those in our congregation and community.

The members of Christ Lutheran Church welcome you to join us as we gather to hear the Good News of Jesus Christ proclaimed. We invite you to worship with us and join in our fellowship as we grow together in God through hearing His Word.

IF... you are searching for a spiritual home in this area, we invite you to consider our community of Christian faith and life;
IF... you are struggling with personal problems and questions relating to the Christian faith, our congregation may be for you a place of healing;
IF... God is calling you to serve Him through your special concerns and gifts, Christ Lutheran Church may be for you a place of extraordinary sharing.

After almost fifty years of serving the people in this community, now through information technology, a little creativity, plans - with God's help - for building and growth and a passion to live our lives for Jesus, we hope to continue to meet their spiritual, physical and emotional needs for the next fifty as well.

If you would like to be a part of our vision, to make a significant impact through your life on the lives of others, please join us as we embrace our future together!

Our purpose is to bring people into a living relationship with Jesus Christ. Our core values include: Dynamic Worship of God, Vigorous study of God's Word, Loving relationships with one another, Committed support of God's work in the world, Excellence in all we do. We are here to bring the love of Jesus to people by meeting their physical, emotional and spiritual needs.

As a congregation of the Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod Christ Lutheran teaches and responds to the love of the Triune God: the Father, creator of all that exists; Jesus Christ, the Son, who became human to suffer and die for the sins of all human beings and to rise to life again in the ultimate victory over death and Satan; and the Holy Spirit, who creates faith through God's Word and Sacraments. The three persons of the Trinity are coequal and coeternal - one God.

We believe and teach the historic Christian faith, as presented in...

THE LUTHERAN CONFESSIONS

THE APOSTLES' CREED
I believe in God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth. And in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died and was buried. He descended into hell. The third day He rose again from the dead. He ascended into heaven and sits at the right hand of God, the Father Almighty. From there He will come to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Holy Christian church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen.

We accept the Bible-based teachings of Martin Luther that inspired the reformation of the Christian Church in the 16th Century - summarized in three short phrases: Grace alone, Faith alone, Scripture alone.
GRACE ALONE...
God loves the people of the world, even though they are sinful, rebel against Him and do not deserve His love. He sent Jesus, His son, to love the unlovable and save the ungodly.
FAITH ALONE...
By His suffering an death as the substitute for all people, Jesus purchased and won forgiveness and eternal life for them. Those who hear this Good News and believe it have eternal life. God creates faith in Christ and gives people forgiveness through Him.

For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life. (John 3:16)
SCRIPTURE ALONE...
The Bible is the inspired and inerrant Word of God, in which He reveals His Law and His Gospel of salvation in Jesus Christ. It is the sole rule and norm for Christian doctrine.

All scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness. (2 Timothy 3:16)
