Christ Lutheran Church
The Lamp of the Body

Band of Brothers is a ministry for all men at Christ Lutheran. Learn the biblical definition of manhood and how God is calling us to lead in our homes, workplace, and community. Learn how to mentor other men and bring them to Christ. Some of us are wounded brothers who need the help of other men to heal. Some of us have scars to show other men where we've been in life. God wants to share these experiences to reach men. Please join us in building this band of brothers. Proverbs 27:17 "As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another."

Eight reasons why men need a "band of brothers":

    1.  Jesus never went it alone. He had a band of 12 brothers around him.

    2.  We are image bearers of God and are called to bear God's image to the world.

    3.  Manhood is bestowed. A man learns biblical manhood from other men.

    4.  We need men to say to us, "You have what it takes."

    5.  We need men to help us champion our wife and our kids.

    6.  We need men to help us with our thought life.

    7.  We are wounded warriors who can learn from the scars of other men.

We are building blocks for the young men who follow in our footsteps.

Are you balancing so many responsibilities that you're sometimes concerned one slip will bring everything crashing down around you? Are you so busy you think you just can't handle anything more?

Christian men today carry more responsibilities than ever before. Managing the demands of marriage, family, career, and church responsibilities can be a daily challenge. It is easy to get so caught up in the hectic schedule of your daily routine that you forget what is truly important – your relationship with God and with the people He has placed in your life.

Is it possible to live a balanced, satisfying life in today's fast-paced culture? Pastor Dave Folkerts answers this question with a resounding "Yes!" The key lies in reevaluating your priorities and making a commitment to do the things God would have you do – and to relinquish the rest.

This insightful study demonstrates how adjusting your priorities can make all the difference in a stressed-out, over-worked life. You will learn:

  • Which areas are "out of control" in your life, and how to regain that control

  • How to determine what God, rather than other people, wants you to be doing

  • Practical goal-setting tips that achieve results

  • God's blueprint for a successful, happy marriage

  • Five keys to raising godly kids

  • Practical ways to develop a prayer life in a time-crunched schedule

  • Principles that will help you bring balance to your finances

  • And More!
